Does your business have a AED (Automated External Defibrillator)? Have you connected it to the circuit. Connect it to the the Circuit is National Defibrillator Network campaign- The Circuit allows for emergency services and the public to called access to an AED. An AED can save a life, but if you are unsure how and why read on..
In the UK there are over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCA) a year. The survival rate is low – just 1 in 10 people in the UK survive an OHCA and that is where your AED will help, by connecting your AED to the Circuit it will allows someone to call 999 and gain access to your AED. When someone is in cardiac arrest their heart is in VF (ventricular fibrillation) and by connecting the AED to the chest, it will stop the heart for a milisecond and the heart will hopefully be 'reset' so that it is pumping blood to the vital organs effectively.
Key things to remember:
DRABC (Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, CPR)

When placing the AED, always remove outer clothing and anything that is in the way of the where the pads are going to go.
Start CPR straight away whilst waiting for the AED, do not start CPR and leave the casualty, always call for help.
